Freedom to Smile, Anywhere, Anytime

Dentistry that’s all about You.

When your teeth and gums are healthy, everything changes.

You smile freely.
You speak without hesitation.
You stop second-guessing yourself.

You are free to be yourself

That confidence is within reach at Pure Dental Care.

We’ve built something different.

A calm, transparent experience where your time, your comfort and your choices come first.

Most of our patients come to us after feeling frustrated elsewhere.

They often tell us things like:

“I always felt rushed… like I couldn’t ask questions.”
“I never really understood what I was being told.”
“Every visit felt like I needed more treatment.”
“I just wanted a dentist I felt had my best interests at heart.”

And then they experience pure dental care

Community Dentistry, Community Values, Community Care

At Pure Dental Care we define ourselves in two ways.

Firstly, we’re dentist-owned, not corporate. Our goal is to build long-term relationships not schedules. We’re focussed on our community not on the clock. Our targets are around trust and meeting the needs of our patients.

Secondly, we build our work to last. We’re careful to preserve as much of your healthy tooth structure as possible - this allows our crowns, bridges, fillings and implants to last longer and perform better.

So proud of our Thornleigh community gardeners!

Dr Gad is a mother of two children, and loves cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sure, we have no-gap checkup and clean, we also provide free consultations for orthodontics. In any case we try to keep our costs reasonable, but enough to cover the dentist’s time and skill, our staffing, materials and the specialised equipment we use.

More importantly, we won’t funnel you in with a flashy offer, only to try and upsell you some cosmetic procedure you probably don’t need. We want to do our best for your dental health, and the best thing we can do is ensure trust and continuity of care. That is, that you continue getting your checkup every 6 months, so that your teeth stay healthy and strong.

  • We are on the medium-to-low end of pricing within the Pennant Hills / Hornsby area. We aren’t in this game to make massive profits. We believe in serving the community and sticking around for the long-term. So, even though our prices are not rock-bottom, they are reasonable enough so that we can provide a quality service, which we know our patients will appreciate.

  • Of course, we maintain the highest levels of quality. This means more than just a fancy name or office. It means we take our time with our procedures. We listen and are careful to address your individual needs. There’s no production line. Our aim is to make sure your health and your teeth are in the best possible shape.

Our team works hard to stay abreast of the latest research and dental innovations, and we maintain strict infection control procedures. We utilise advanced equipment, that not only augment our skills but also improve visualisation and patient education.

  • Both Medicare and the NDIS do not cover dental work for adults. For children, The Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS) is the primary Medicare program available. It provides up to $1158 per eligible child over a 2-consecutive calendar year period for basic dental services.

  • We hear this question a lot, especially while the cost of living crisis is raging in our community. What we would say, is that you don’t have to worry about this alone, speak to us. We may be able to sort out a payment plan or another arrangement. The worst thing to do is stay away, if decay sets in you could be looking at severe damage and extensive work needed in the future, which we really don’t want for you.

  • Absolutely, dentistry can help but it has to be diagnosed properly first, through a sleep study. Snoring does not equal sleep apnea, but it can be one of the symptoms. Correct diagnosis will help your dentist make an effective treatment plan.

Treatment can include wearing a device like a mouthguard that helps reposition your lower jaw, opening your airways. This may also have the happy side-effect of diminished snoring.

Sometimes orthodontic treatment can help clear the airways by improving tooth and jaw alignment. By correcting the bite, patients often see an improvement in their sleep quality. During the 8-hour cyle the mouth sits in a more natural position, which improves the passage of air.

  • For your benefit! Prevention is better than cure. If we catch decay early or prevent it completely you can have a life free from dental pain or disease.

  • That is possible, but we don’t recommend it. Your super is your income after you retire, having a good amount for that time in your life is important. We would first try to find smarter alternatives, and if that isn’t possible we could look at initiating an early withdrawal. It would have to meet the requirements set out by the ATO and there is considerable paperwork to be completed. In short, we can help, but speak to us first to see if we can find better options.

  • So lets get our terms straight, jaw clenching is when you hold your jaw shut by tensing your cheek and temple muscles. While grinding is as the name implies, is the active movement of the lower jaw side to side causing friction and wear of your teeth. Both can lead to headaches, as the muscles become fatigued over time.

Your dentist can help by giving you techniques to stop the habit. Reducing stress or relearning can help reduce this subconcious movement. Since it’s nearly impossible to prevent yourself grinding or clenching at night, a nightguard (a mouthguard worn at night) , can limit the damage.

  • Centrelink doesn’t pay for dentures directly, however you can get them heavily subsidised through the public health system in your local dental hospital. Be aware there is often a long waiting period.

The public system can also provide vouchers for patients to be seen in a private clinic for emergency dental care. Although, they can only be claimed if there is pain or other urgent symptom that needs to be addressed.

  • This often refers to the waiting period within some private health insurance schemes for new members. If this rule applies within your tier of insurance you may have to wait two years before claiming for major dental work, like crowns, bridges, orthodontics, veneers etc.

It is often difficult to avoid when signing up for a new membership, but can sometimes be waived as part of a promotional offer.
